Rigged Game – A Love Letter From The Gate Keepers.

Defenders Of The Faith

Up to this point, Americans have put up with the rigged game. Elites sent their kids to Ivy League schools. Twenty-two year olds showed up at the Bank on their first day on the job with millions of dollars in accounts – curtesy of Dad and a few uncles. And Junior graduated from law school and was put on the partner’s track on his first day. We got it. We weren’t connected. So we were told that if we were patient, developed our talent, or came up with a really, really useful idea… well, welcome.

Opportunity Doesn’t Just Knock…

…sometimes it just breaks the door down.

I watched Arnold Schwarzenegger make an appearance on mid-evening a talk show (Merv Griffin, I think) back in the Eighties.  Arnold recalled going into the construction business with his friend and fellow bodybuilder, Franco Columbo.  Specifically, bricklaying.  From what I gathered, Franco possessed the skill set for the labor while Arnold tasked himself out to the sales end of the operation.  Arnold goes to see a lawyer, and explains their business plan.  Because that is what you would need to do had he still lived in socialist Austria in the 1960s.  Though not completely crushed under the iron heel of communism, Austria was technically part of the Soviet Bloc.  Ten minutes into the conversation, the attorney stops Arnold cold.  ‘You don’t need me.  Just go down to City Hall, fill out an application, and pay $5 for a business permit.’  And that, Arnold said, is why he loved America.

It’s useful to note that Arnold’s conversation with this unnamed lawyer took place in California.  Yeah, freaking California.  Or to borrow the man’s famous pronunciation, ‘Caly-FORN-ya.’  [sigh]. Remember when Arnold leaned libertarian?  Good times… good times.

I haven’t applied for a business permit in the Golden State.  I’m going to presume it’s not quite that simple 50 years later.

It Could Not Be More Clear

The Global Elite have sent us a number of messages over the last few months.

The Election:

Get your minds right and vote the way you’re supposed to.  It’s better for us, it’s better for your country… it’s better for you.  You can continue to live under the illusion that your votes matter.  Look, we make mistakes.  Everyone does.  In 2016, we didn’t deploy nearly enough Buick Le Sabres stuffed with ballots in the trunk ready to be found “just in case.”   To be candid, we didn’t think we needed to.  That was a mistake we made.  This lack of preparation caused us a lot of work.  You’ll note we were better prepared this time around.  Come 2024, let’s do this the easy way.  Fill out your ballots correctly, or don’t.  We can always print up enough.  Again.

And just a brief word on the SCOTUS.  You think you have a majority.  To some extent you do.  We might even throw you a bone on the issue of infanticide.  In the meantime, they still work for us.  Even the ones you think are on “your” side.  On the issues that really count (Globalism, monetary policy), they all work for us.

The Protest At The Capital.

Five people died.  Including one brave Capitol Police Officer trying to do his duty.  No one wanted that.  You saw the cities burning over the Summer and you thought, ‘what’s good for the goose,’ right?  Wrong.  Please learn your lesson.  There will be prosecutions, there will be findings of guilt, and the penalties will often be draconian.

Build Your Own Twitter.

Just kidding.  We’ll take that away from you as well.

The Robinhood Kerfuffle.

The rules are there to govern you.   You don’t get to make money unless we allow it.  Sure, there will be some who slip through the net.  We can’t watch everyone and we’re not gods.   Even if we nearly choke on such an admission. A rigged game ensures proper screening by and large.

The Second Impeachment.

You haven’t been listening.  And we’ve been relentlessly screaming at you since ‘He’ rode down the escalator five years ago.  Every day, we’ve taken some action to get the message across.  So here we go, one more time.  Don’t… you… ever… try this again.  Are you hearing us now?

Take a look at the picture below. Some are keeping their faces carefully neutral. Others are positively scowling. (At us?). Do these look like people who have won an election? Or are they people who have made it back into the halls of power and will now exact just retribution?

So how does this end?

To be candid, I don’t know.  A hundred years from now, there will still be something called the United States.  What that looks like is anyone’s guess.  We all know this can’t continue.  That’s sounds cliched.  It doesn’t make it any less true.

If nothing else, you cannot invalidate half your nation, and expect business as usual.  And by invalidation, I’m not talking about votes.  No, I am saying you can’t invalidate this many people and expect a healthy nation-state to continue as though nothing is wrong.

Like the Roman Senate amid a crumbling empire, our “leaders” insist on making policy devasting to the ordinary unconnected citizen, while bearing no consequences of those policies for themselves.  This erodes trust and confidence, factors upon which our society rests. If enough people think they’re playing a rigged game, sooner or later, that needs to be addressed.

Ordered Liberty

The concepts of Life, Liberty, and Property are not conducive to a rigged game.

We’re all supposed to be playing by the same rules.  The frustration of the average citizen is coming to a boil, because the elites don’t even feel the need to pretend anymore.  The average citizen sees the free markets abandoned and replaced by a new oligarchy interwoven with the governing sector, corporate news and the education establishment.  Established companies, particularly in Big-Tech, pay their lobbyists to re-write the very laws of commerce to block start-up companies from obtaining market share.

The result is an unsustainable model. Fake elections, fake news, and fake markets.  And perhaps worst of all, fake money.  Because instead of trading our labor for capital, most of us are trading it for debt.

Are we done with ‘Left’ and ‘Right?’  I ask because now it just seems like all we have are Globalists and Nationalists.  Or Elitists vs. Egalitarians.  Or as fake conservative David Brooks said, there’s the “Expert Class” and the rest of us.

Comments From The Weekend:

Christians faced this in the early 20th century when Freud, Darwin, and Dewey recreated the entire philosophical landscape and gave the light thinkers and know-nothings a way of explaining the world that didn’t need God.

The response of most Christians was to withdraw from the world, because it was hostile and crazy and would not listen any longer to the warnings. And there were plenty of warnings: this will happen if you continue down this path (and they were right, it has all happened, and worse).

Had the Christians stayed engaged, fighting in culture and striving to be salt and light would things have turned out differently, would it have made a difference? God knows.

The thought is Socialism isn’t for the Socialists, it’s only for the masses, they have no plans to live under their rules.  Posted by: Skip at January 30, 2021 07:50 PM (posted on Ace Of Spades HQ).

Closing Thoughts

The history of Communism/Globalism is a study in irony.  Consequences pile up to the point where most of the zealots die thereby preventing them from learning. The surviving idiots zealots insisting that it hasn’t been tried by “the right people.”

Through it all, there are reasons to remain optimistic. First, rigged game or not there is the inevitable overreach by the Globalists. Then, there’s Joe Biden who continues to refer to Donald Trump and ‘President Trump.’
