A Plan Gone Bad & The Many Faces of Cesar Sayoc.
Is Cesar Sayoc a patsy? Is he just your run-of-the mill nut job? No one knows for sure at this point. One thing we do know for sure. The Democrats and the usual crowd of America-hating Leftists are beside themselves. Federal Law Enforcement caught him way ahead of schedule. That’s a problem for The Democrats.
It wasn’t supposed to happen this way. This was supposed to remain a mystery. At least through the midterms. But Cesar Sayoc, practically flagging down Federal Authorities, would just not cooperate.
The distraction from the real issue – the 14,000-strong army heading to our southern border has considerably lessened. I’m not going to spend too much effort in going over the suspicious inconsistencies. There is plenty of that going around.
Yes, the stickers on Sayoc’s van are brand new. That could mean a lot. Or it could mean nothing. There’s Cesar Sayoc, the 2016 Republican Party convert. There’s Cesar Sayoc the drifter. Then there’s Cesar Sayoc the nut-job who clearly wanted to be caught.
On to the real issue of National Sovereignty:
Invasion – 5th Century A.D.
The Huns, a nomadic people originating from Central Asia launch incursions into South Asia and Europe. The Gupta Empire, the dominate power on the Indian subcontinent is affected early. Soon after the Eastern and Western Roman Empires orient their military and diplomatic efforts in order to counter the threat. The Romans and Huns play their own version of the Game of Thrones with pieces coming and going off the board.
The reason for the Huns’ adventurism is the same for every migration throughout history: overpopulation. Limited resources, the laws of supply and demand, and mostly the unbreakable law of equilibrium will always drive population movements.
As the Huns move westward, they meet with various smaller nomadic tribes, offering them the choice of alliance or genocide. These other nations, the Alans, the Gruethungi, and tribal federations of Turkic, and even Mongolian ethnicity are absorbed, driving the Thervingi and other Gothic peoples before them.
Some scholars estimate that by the time the Huns engaged the Romans, they were able to deploy as many as 200,000 combatants. This number, while likely exaggerated would include their German and Byzantine vassals.
The Huns possessed no appreciation of Western Civilization, and why should they? Even in the late Roman World, principles like due process, civil rights, and Christian forgiveness were very much in their infancy. The merging of Roman codification with English Common Law was centuries in the future.
Through a decades long conflict, and at the cost of an ocean of blood, the Romans and their German allies managed to beat the Huns back to a small corner of Europe. With their numbers reduced to a manageable level, the Huns were assimilated into The West. Their name remains (Hungary) yet they descendants are sons and daughters of Western Civilization.
Invasion 2018.
The threat coming up from the South is simply a reconnaissance in force. The main invasion is still to come. Taken by itself, the advocates of the “caravan” assert that they can easily be absorbed into a nation in excess of three hundred million.
Let’s take that at face value. What about the migration coming after them? The purpose of this 14,000-strong army is to test our border. And our resolve. Just as the Huns, Visigoths, and Vandals tested the borders of the Roman Empire.
If The United States fails this test, then make no misstate, the next migration will number in the tens of thousands. The one after that will be in the hundreds of thousands, and the one to follow will be in the millions. Twelve thousand years of documented migration history and the unbreakable laws of equilibrium make for a very strong case.
We will be subject to newcomers, arriving in overwhelming numbers, making any prospect of assimilation impossible. Millions possessing not merely an apathetic disposition to the rule of law and civil rights, but an outright hostility to such quaint concepts. Tribalism becomes the new governing principal, and the application and benefits of the law becomes subject one’s affiliation.
At some point, the United States ceases to be the Unites States.
Selah.
