Re-Defining Words – The Left’s War on English.

During the last two weeks, I entered an online debate over the issue of Raphael Warnock and Christian Nationalism.  Yes, I know. Debating a Leftist on any topic risks the loss of brain cells by virtue of exposure.  In this case, I decided to poke the mouse concerning The Left’s penchant for re-defining words – particularly words which formed shortly after the Norman Conquest. For those who are not familiar, Warnock currently represents the state of Georgia in the United States Senate.  In this last election cycle, he fended off a challenge from Hershel Walker.

Warnock is an outspoken left-wing Baptist Pastor.  Yes, that’s a thing.  His political stances aside, the fact that he leads a Christian congregation clearly ensconces him as a Christian.  He also took the oath required of every U.S. Senator, one that requires him to prioritize the interests of the United States.  This makes him, and every member of the United States Senate by default a Nationalist.  Put them together.  Raphael Warnock is a Christian Nationalist.  [Mic-drop]

Now why is this funny, and why did this make the Leftist I was debating seize up?  Because it snares Leftists and forces them to rationalize their own deception.  It makes a mockery of their deception through the simple application of Truth.  And if there is anything that will send evil into a frothing rage, it is mockery and Truth.

Re-Defining Terms – The Snakes Bites Back

For years, The Left has sought to re-define Christianity and Nationalism to fit their disgusting narrative.  Christianity is the Faith and Foundation of Western Civilization.  Leftists hate Western Civilization with the hatred of a thousand suns.  They hate Christianity for its double helix relationship with our civilization.  They hate Nationalism for its symbiosis with Western Culture.  Re-defining Nationalism is of course key to this hatred. Because Nationalism – simply prioritizing the interests of one’s nation – is a virtue. So if one can re-define it as something selfish, myopic, and of course… wait for it… racist, well, now we have something we can despise.

Not just any Nationalism, of course.  Sure, most Leftists will cop to their quivering desire for world-wide governance.  They’ll tell your that Swedish Nationalism, Chinese Nationalism, or Kazakhstani Nationalism will have to be done away with… eventually.  But American Nationalism?  That’s something that needs to go right now.

So now in an apoplectic fit, they’ve provided us Normals with an epic level of schadenfreude.  The deranged Left (yes, redundant) has promoted and elected and unapologetic Christian Nationalist.  And there is nothing they can do about it.  After decades of bashing Christians, bashing Nationalists, they not merely have one among them, he is one of their new superstars.  After decades of trying to re-define terms, their own schemes have circled around and bitten them in the posterior.

Selah.
